I get my must-have-coffee morning fix here at Coffee Choice. The couple that runs it are very nice, and they start my usual order before I even walk in the door! They are usually listening to classic soul like Otis Redding or Sam Cooke - a perfect way to start the day!

Why would you go to Starbucks when this place is quicker, cheaper, and much better quality?

Viva la Coffee Choice!

5 stars alone for not being a Starbucks!

This tiny..READ; ITSY BITSY..little store front located on the street level of Museum Parc Tower is just what I need in the morning when I'm out of coffee...Instead of heading down the street to charbucks, I get my fix here...

The menu is small, but everything that they hand over is BIG!

The coffee...Great!...I've had just a cup of joe and a latte and both were great!

Bagels and assorted schmears..for only $2.25

Incredibly helpful, nice, attentive and downright pleasant folks who run this kiosk-like store.

So..do me and yourself a favor and drop that charbucks cup..Now..come on down to Coffee Choice and see what coffee really taste like.

I'm with Skip...Viva La Coffee Choice!

Theme of the day - Simple Things.

1. Name of the Armin Van Buuren song stuck in my head. This is a good problem to have, amazing song, and it's only 4 days till Saturday's show!

2. Best way to describe Coffee Choice. Small, focused on coffee only. Make that good coffee. They might be churning out the best coffee/square foot in the city.

I came upon Coffee Choice when I was on my way to a meeting (and extremely hungry at the time). I stopped in and got a sesame bagel with roasted red pepper cream cheese and tomatoes. It's the only thing I've ever ordered here and I do not intend to change that. It is delicious.

And the owners are super nice.

Very very good coffee, and I think it's a little cheaper than most places.  The muffins are amazingly moist and fluffy too!  Just have to run across the street to the ATM for cash.  A cup of tasty coffee and a friendly smile from the  nice owner are good things to start the day with.

I like this little hole in the wall a lot. I used to live over here in SOMA, right down the street, and passed by it all the time and just never noticed it. It is super tiny, and apparently they have been there for over a decade. That's great news considering the number of Bucky's in the hood.

Nice people behind the tiny counter, and the cappuccino was made perfectly.  You can't tell a good cappuccino just by picking it up, but you can sure tell a bad one.  Most have WAAAYYYYYY too much milk.  The rule of 1/3rds works for things besides painting and photography...1/3 espresso, 1/3 milk, 1/3 foam...its just that easy in theory but unfortunately seemingly impossible to execute in practice.  Plus the beans were not overroasted, which made for a nice cup.

Working in SOMA now and I found the closest addiction by work! LOVE it here!! Bernard and Sophie are the sweetest. I switch up my coffee from time to time, some days are a double soy latte, some days are just give me the cup of JOE, but I never leave without a treat, unless my pockets are short on cash.

Yes, I agree the bagels are delish!! HAVE YOU EVER HAD IT WITH BUTTER AND JAM?? Fatty, Fat, FAT!!! But Yum, Yumi, YUMMY!!!
Then they have my favorite schmear, sun dried-tomatoe basil cream cheese... ah.. my heart melts.  LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT THEIR BLUEBERRY SCONES!! One of the better ones I've ever had. I usually stay away from scones because of the dry ones I've had, but guess they were all just BAD!!! Not the ones at Coffee Choice.

So, bottom line, order one of the best lattes in town and have a bagel or scone. I also feel guilty when I walk by with Starbucks. :( that's only because they are not open on the weekends!!!!

This small coffee bar barely has enough room to turn around.  The  european owners are devoted and always get it right.   I love my triple espresso's.

I've only been in here a few times, since I haven't been regularly drinking coffee, but as I have recently started drinking it more often, I might as well do it right, yes?

Coffee Choice is right near my work, as are many coffee joints, from dinky to Starfuck's.  In this case, size doesn't matter and flavor always matters (snicker, snicker), and it's really not *that* small.  Want a nice place to sit?  Walk a block to Yerba Buena and relax among the greenery: seating isn't necessarily the most important quality of a good cafe.  My sugar free vanilla soy lattes have been consistently excellent, and a cinnamon raisin bagel with plain schmear goes along with it perfectly (and is done just right), so that's enough for me.

My next step: stop being shy and introduce myself to the nice folks who run the place.  :}

I never noticed this mini cafe before, but damn I wish I had! They have some excellent tea choices and they know how to toast & shmear a bagel! It doesn't sound like rocket science, but very few places can perform bagel presentation this perfectly.
The woman might have been having a bad day because she seemed a little cracky and asked me if I wanted cream cheese on the bagel or on the side, which I thought was a little odd, but now that I'm awake I guess it makes sense.
A DSL guy came in, he's clearly a regular because the gentleman behind the counter began making him an espresso as soon as he saw him, I think he even said "good morning (insert name here)!" He also gave him an extra shot for free. A perfect way to start off a Monday.
I'll be visiting this place with regularity now.

I'm sad not to be the first on these guys, because I have been drinking their coffee for years now.  It's run by the cutest older couple from eastern europe (they actually live in Museum Parc).  After a few days they know you by heart, and greet you with a smile each day.

The bagels are great, and they don't skimp on the schmear either.  I love this place--and it's cheaper than Starbucks.  I just wish they were open on weekends, but I guess they're doing well enough during the week to relax and enjoy themselves, too.  :)

Bernie and Sophi are great.

Perfect espresso every time, quick service, always pleasant and kind with a recent history of SOMA.

Bagels are toasted perfectly.

They care about their lil' coffee joint and it shows.

This is the best latte in San Francisco.

The older gentleman makes a perfect latte. You can tell by the look on his face that he is proud of what he is making you. It's perfect.
All this place needs is a place to sit down and enjoy it.  They have  a couple small counters & outside benches.

Tip: If you order a croissant or bagel it will be served warm.

I LOVE Coffee Choice. No matter how sporadically you visit, they know your drink by heart. That's talent. The coffee is great and their specialty drinks are cheaper than Starbucks'. The coffee is rich and less bitter than at Starbucks, too. The Chai is also real good.

Bernard and Sophie make the best latte in town. I'm a native SF resident so this is a biggie. They know how coffee should taste: strong, but not burned. These independent merchants play outstanding blues tunes at the 'Choice. Bern & Sophie are always up for a good conversation, but know when you're in hurry too.
