Don't believe the hype. Only thing that I would recommend here would be the Chicken Noodle Soup cause everything else just takes funky (see Jasmine B.'s review). Been here a couple times already and usually order the beef noodle soup. There's a weird after taste and just doesn't taste right. The beef is also tough and flavorless.
Yes, good noodles... but ruined with weird tasting broth.
I'm not sure I believe all the hype. Sure the noodles are excellent but I found the sauces to be a little funky tasting, not really fresh. I went of of recommendations here and we got the Spicy and Sour Port and the Spicy Beef soup, and I just didn't enjoy them I wish I could just get the noodles and make my own dish.
I found this place by mistake when it first opened.. It continues to be one of my favorite places - because I know what I'm getting, and it's really yummy.
I first tried the pork chow mein, and then I explored several of the other items. I came back to the pork chow mein as it was consistent and left me curious of how something that seemed so simple could taste so good.
This place fills up early and fast now. It's truly great. The menu is rather simple, but when you leave happy, it doesn't matter.
three pepper symbol...hot spicy noodle soup order....qq noodle specialty shop...only noodles and nothing more....quite good with spicy oil heat....noodles dense and snap chew....tasty bowl of noodle soup.....qq having variety offerings...from black saucing noodles to thick starchy soup noodles....beef to pork...broth to dry....qq definitely doing noodle right....$twenty-nine.eighty "pre-tip amount" for four noodle bowls....

Should be at least a 3 star, but I feel wronged.
The noodles are definitely chewy, fresh and good. A rarity in this age of no-hand-pulled-noodles-anywhere.
But when my table is deciding between the beef or beef tendon appetizer, and the waitress repeatedly says to "get the beef, it's good, everyone orders the beef", then that beef arrives dry and flavorless... I am the unhappiest camper.
Then there was a gnat in my brother's soup.
And an eyelash in a different appetizer.
And the soy bean paste sauce over my noodles was salty. The flavor was perfect the next day after the noodles soaked it up, but then they weren't chewy anymore.
Overall the noodles did not disappoint. Future visits will probably deserve higher ratings, but I can't forgive emphatic endorsement of bland menu items.
Mom: Let's go get lai mein.
Me (thinking it's ramen): Sure! Cool!
Me (Upon arrival at QQ Noodle): This isn't a ramen place.
Oh wait, lai mein, in addition to ramen, it can also mean "hand pulled noodles." Which is what this place offers.
The noodles are awesome, they taste so fresh, but that's because they are. The sauces and soups I'm not that much of a fan of, but the noodles are so good that I'll still give this place four stars.

Wow, I did not even know that you can find niu rou mieh in my hometown, I was shocked when my mom insisted I would like this place so I finally went there for lunch today..
The place is not fancy inside, it's very bearbone and simple, but that will do as long as it's decently clean :)
The service was actually good, but I think it's because it was a quiet Monday lunch; my grandma came with me and said its a lot more crowded during the evenings.
Considering the quality (fresh hand made noodles in store!) and how much meat they give you ( a LOT of beef in the niu rou mieh), this place is much more worth it than pho or other noodle joints...Each one is about $6.75 and the bowl will no doubt fill you up!
Be prepared to bring cash if you're in a small group..Tea is included!

I came here for couple of months ago for a Yelp DYE. "Destroy Your Evening," never sounded so um, appropriate.
The BAD:
~This place was expecting a lot of Yelpers but only had 1 server. Of course, this made service extremely slow.
~We had to seat ourselves and get our own water, cups, utensils etc. WTF?
~The waiter was asking me who ordered what, while I was standing in line to place my order when he should've been the one that came to my table and asked me what I wanted to order. How the fuck am I suppose to know who ordered a #5 I just got here!!
~The food was mediocre at best.
The good:
-_-
I'm VERY surprised this place has 4 stars. As a matter of fact I'm a little applaud and disgusted at the other Yelpers that gave this place more than 2 stars.
I'd give this place a NEGATIVE 5 stars if I could!! Even for an Asian restaurant; worst dinning experience I've EVER had HANDS DOWN.

I've finally gotten around to reviewing this place after having been here tons of times. I can say that this place is consistently good if you know what to order. I've had the beef noodle soup (there are two kinds - order the spicy), the preserved cabbage and pork noodle, and the ja-jiang mein. I have also had some of their cold appetizers including pig ears, tripe, and slice pork.
Overall, I've really enjoyed all of their dishes. I would have to say that the hand-pulled noodles is very good. I like the cabbage and pork noodles the best. Some friends ordered the "clear" soups that are in the back of the menu and didn't like them at all. The appetizers were all very good.
Their service is pretty typical of a Chinese restaurant. it's usually curt and quick. No-frills or any schmoozing, which is fine with me because I'm there to eat. However, I get the same female server every time I go and she's always forthcoming about which dish would be better to order if she sees any bit of hesitation in me. I like suggestions. It's cute that she always tries to speak to me in Mandarin, even though I only speak Cantonese. My hubby usually steps in and I can see that she's pleasantly surprised to hear an ABC speak Mandarin. I've even come in right before closing and they were good enough to invite us to sit down.
This place isn't the most awesome noodle place but in the Fremont area, it hits the spot, especially on a cold night when nothing is better to eat than a hot bowl of noodles.
Incidentally, Satomi Sushi is in the same plaza, which is an excellent place for rolls. And it cracks me up that there is a restaurant called Juan More Taco right next door. Gotta try that place out just for it's hilarious name!

Yelp is awesome, being a south-bayer there woulda been no way I would have found this place without yelp. We were heading to Fremont anyways, so I just searched for noodles in Fremont.
I like it here, and so does a ton of other people. We got there a little before 8 and it was busy with a 4 minute wait. They have a picture book menu their noodles so you can see what each one looks like. I went with the stir-fried Pork one and I thought it was pretty scrumptious.
I feel bad for the goldfish tho, there's so many people coming to eat at this place, the owners are too busy making declicious food that they don't have time to refill the fish tank. The tank was 1/3 empty and the fish don't look like they're in good shape.

It's so hard to find good suan la niu rou mian! I haven't had some in such a long time... it's not too spicy but tickles the back of your throat. The hand-pulled noodles are chewy and have a good texture. It's your typical small chinese restaurant so you shouldn't go here expecting the most attentive service. You go for the noodles!
Oh, but one thing that really annoyed me was their $20 minimum credit card charge... lame!
I looooove the noodles here. According to the posts below they're hand pulled. They're also thick and just the right texture.
My favorite's the Dry Soy Bean Paste Noodles (#3). A brown sauce, salty and porkful. Takeout's find too as long as you have a big bowl at home to mix and declump the noodles.
Hand-pulled noodles are definitely the best. The first time I ate at QQ Noodle, I had their zha jiang mian (#3). Huge portion! I couldn't finish it in one sitting. I think their portions have gotten smaller or something because I seem to have less trouble finishing my food.
So far, I've tried #2 and #3 (#2 is the spicy one, #3 is not spicy but has diced cucumbers), #5 (da lu mian/house special noodle soup), and #12 (non-spicy niu rou mian). All of them were really delicious and I always feel satisfied when I finish eating. I'm not one to order chow mein, but the friends of mine who have ordered it didn't really enjoy it or something.
Take-out isn't as good as eating in, as the noodles do stick. So if you can, eat in.
The last time I ate here, I was with a group of people, and one of my friends who charged the bill on his card forgot to put in the tip. The waiter asked us, "Where's the tip?" I do have to say, I felt a little disappointed that he had to ask, though I guess he probably should have, considering the group was 8 people. But still... I have no idea what to think about this.

Hand-pulled noodles are always good. However if you are used to more heavily flavored soup-noodles, you might find the flavor in the soup lacking. I'd recommend the beef braised.
Also, don't order out. I did this last time and found my noodles in a clump. They don't travel well so eat in.

My friends wanted to eat Pho for lunch but I wasn't feeling it. Soup noodles did sound good, but not Pho that day. I remember reading about QQ Noodle on Yelp months ago but never had the chance to try it out until now.
QQ Noodle is a Taiwanese restaurant that specializes in hand pulled noodles. It was Sunday afternoon around 12:45 when we got there. The restaurant was full and we happened to snatch the last open table. A few minutes after we sat down, a line formed for the next available table.
Their menu is not very extensive, you can choose soup noodles, stir fry noodles, or soup noodles. The hand pulled noodles were long, chewy, and cooked "al dente."
We started off with some appetizers. At $2.99 for each appetizer, I was pretty impressed. We tried the hot and spicy tripe, and the sliced pork with garlic-soy vinaigrette. The tripe was very flavorful and had the right amount of hot oil. The pork with the garlic-soy vinaigrette was also good -- if you like garlic. Loads of raw, minced garlic was mixed with a little bit of soy, and a decent amount of sesame oil and topped the sliced pork. I enjoyed it very much, but for those who are not a fan of garlic, beware, do not try.
For the main course, I tried their house special sour and spicy noodle soup ($7.25). It had a lot of noodles and a very good amount of pork and pickled vegetables. The broth was not super salty nor did it contain loads of MSG. The broth was tasty, and not too sour, but it did contain an over powering flavor of red wine vinegar. I think they could modify the recipe by adding in a little white vinegar to add the sourness and take out a little red wine vinegar so it doesn't over power the broth.
My friends ordered the pork chow mein ($6.95) and the hot braised beef noodle soup ($6.95). The Pork Chow Mein was good, however a bit on the moist side and didn't look like it was really stir fried in the wok. It looked like "lo mein" where it was just stirred together. This dish was also not too salty but contained a lot of flavor. The hot braised beef noodle soup was very good. The broth was not too spicy and the beef was very tender.
I like this noodle, I think it was #4 soy bean something, with extra cucumber.
Came here yesterday with Yelpers, I'm once again the waitress because there was only one waiter. He was ultra nice and allowed me to put my carrot cupcakes in the fridge. I think we exhausted him out.
When I finished my noodles, I carried my bowl to the brown bin and a little man said, 'Sank you!' That made me chuckle.
The noodles are ultra chewy and I didn't even need scissors with my meal. I don't think that counts as being hardcore though.

I love the #3 and get it all the time. This dish is so addictive to me that I think about it during the week! lol. The #2 is good too, but not the same ja jang mein I was expecting (I do love the ja jang mein at Koryo in Oakland). Al little too rich for me. I love that the take out #3 is good for at least 2 meals for me so it ends up being a deal. I always do take out as it is hit or miss when it will be empty or jam packed and when it is jam packed, there is no order to the "waitlist". But seriously, I love the noodles so much I don't care.
This place is a bit unorganized considering they were expecting a lot of us coming and they only had 1 server?
I had the ... hmm I actually forgot what I got, but it was spicy pork broth and rice noodles (as far as I can tell, there's only 1 type of noodle). And boy were they durable. No broken ends on the noodles and they retained their shapes. I wanted to try out the meat side dishes but the server looks grumpy and overworked.
I really wanted to like this place but having a surly staff didnt really make me enjoy the food.

The place got good reviews so I thought why not. I met up with a few Yelpers here and well...it was not so great! QQ knew we was all coming and well they only had one server for the whole place, granted it is not very big. When I wanted to order he was never around and so me and David decided to go to the counter and order. Well...he told us to back to our table and wait for him to come over. Finally he did and we places our orders but the food took forever. I order a number 13 and I got number 12 instead. I was like what is this?!?! I end up not making a big deal about it since it took forever the food to come out and I was hungry too. I thought since he is Chinese he would give better service to his own people, but I guess not. He was not attentive, we end up refilling our own waters and getting our own utensils. The food was decent but I had better.

Pretty decent Chinese food. Service was great on this Friday night..very prompt and friendly. There really weren't too many choices of noodles, but the menu was an awesome guide, complete with big yummy pictures of each noodle dish.
We ordered the Tofu with Preserved Egg appetizer (2.50) and two noodle dishes: Tomato and Egg, and Soy Bean Paste. The appetizer was delicious, and so were my Tomato and Egg Noodles. My paramour's noodles, however, were a tad too salty (though tasty). I liked the noodles though--they were very chewy...and impossibly LONG. It took me a while to eat because my hand got tired from the weight of the never-ending noodles.
Verdict: Solid, but I have had better hand-pulled noodles in the Bay.

The World According to Noelle

If you love noodles and soup- this is your place! They have a great menu with large pictures and a corresponding number, so when you place your order just give them the number. The restaurant is clean and quite family friendly. They use cilantro and peanut oil in their cooking- both items I am highly allergic to and thus had to pass on eating dinner.
My first experience here was with my fellow Yelper friends for a UYE hosted by Ann L. The entire dining room was serviced by one man. This man was not only the waiter but the cashier as well. Try being one man waiting on a room full of hungry people (possibly 45)!
5- stars for the picture menu, variety of dishes and the food that my family and friends enjoyed!
Noelle's Notes:
Kudos to them for being upfront about which ingredients they use as I cannot afford to tempt fate in beating another episode of anaphylactic shock.

Not much more to say about this store! It just simply "thumbs up"! Delicious!
I ordered the "House Special Sour & Spicy Noodle, and my friend ordered the Braised Beef Noodel soup & Long Time Boiled Thick Noodle and some side dishes. None of them disappoint us.... Everyone has a "wow~" comment!
I have been eyeing this place since January when I started "hardcore studying" all day at Suju's across the street. That green sign is so appealing I tell you! I would yelp this place during my study breaks and say "I will try you one day!"
Its been half a year and I never have tried it...until there was a UYE here (even though I didnt actually make it since I got off work late).
It was already 830 pm and I was still driving on 880, determined to get some of those noodles. I got there close to 9 pm already and I was happy to see the open sign still on. I was pretty surprised that the place is pretty big! I was Imagining it to be half the size since most of the restaurants there are small (Satomi and Juan More Taco). Their green paint is very soothing to the eyes--especially on hot days such as yesterday.
I was planning on getting the braised beef noodle but since I decided to take my soup to go to my BF game instead, I opted for the house special noodle (probably easier to eat than chunks of beef). I sat there waiting for my food. The place still had a couple of customers; there was even one that came after me and he still was seated to dine in (didnt get turned away for coming close to closing).
I read their to go menu as I wait, looking for things to try for next time. I already saw a few I want to get. The name of some noodles made me laugh--long time boiled noodles. I was thinking to myself if I get that and it becomes my favorite I will repeatedly say "me love you long time, long time boiled noodles" heheh.
The server was pretty nice. He was the only one in the dining area. He gave me bottled water for just a 1$ hehe.
My order came with utensils and everything. I was pretty disappointed they dont have big bowls to go to fit the noodles and soup together but I was hungry and determined and I am gonna eat this noodles anyway. I cut it in half which was pretty hard coz the noodles were very long; then cut the soup in half so both noodle and soup container has equal amounts of both. I took it to eat while watching the softball game.
Those noodles are amazing!!! They were long and hard to pick up with chopsticks at first and hard to cut but they were chewy and flavorful. The house special soup is sooo gooood!! Its like comfort food! It has that rich broth, a little thicker consistency with eggs (egg drop style it looks like), zucchinis, mushrooms, seaweed, meat, carrots, green onion and other stuff. Its not very salty which is good and the flavor of all the ingredients really go well together. It was a pretty warm night and I didnt care, I was enjoying my soup and not even watching the game haha.
I will definitely come back for the braised beef soup for next time and try some of their cold items.Oh yea and the long time boiled noodles too!

Enjoyed the UYE event today and the #8 House Special Sour & Spicy w/Pork Noodle soup was satisfying and fulfilling.
Minus one star for being under prepared for the influx of 20+ Yelpers and more than 30 other customers even though they knew that about 30 Yelpers were expected.

This is an update to my original review. I have to change my review to a solid 3 1/2. On my second time here, I was just as satisfied but I can't say that I am more so. I was pleased to see that while they were under staffed, they maintained the best service possible. The only wait staff was running all around trying to accomodate for our orders. Though on the slower side, it was consistent. Perhaps because it was a casual environment, I can't be harder on them in this area.
As for the food, it was good but for a second time I was hoping for wow. I didn't get wow. Noodles were great, consistent compared to last time.
******************************************
This review is 3 1/2 stars but well on its way to 4. The only reason I couldn't give it a 4 is because I didn't prefer one of the bowls that I was really hoping to enjoy. See review below.
I'm always looking for new Chinese food places to take my parents when they're in town. After some contemplation, I remember passing by this place and seeing a lot of Asian heads through the window but I'd forgotten that the place serves "pulled noodles" as opposed to the much desired "knife cut noodles". Either way, I love noodles and enjoy them in just about any form of preparation.
The ambiance was very much like a cafe or noodle house you might find in Taiwan or even Shanghai and reminds me of the little places I used to munch at when visiting my grandmother or during my stint abroad. It was a comforting feeling. Though, I'm not sure I'd have chosen the green paint color for the walls. Whatever! I was there to eat, not judge decor.
The waiter recommended the #1 and #8. But it was #7 (I think that was the number but don't mark me on it) that made me drool. For some reason I was in the mood for beef noodle soup. But, knowing that's my dad's favorite, I let him order it and I got #1 while my mom got #8. We shared all three bowls. You know the food is delicious when no one at the table is talking except to ask for more noodles or tea. That was us. In my book #1 and #8 were delicious. I was surprised I didn't love #7 but that's only because I'm more of a fan of tendon that tripe and I like my beef noodle soups on the spicier side.
Another major draw to this joint is that the noodles are chewingly fresh. Hao Chi, hao chi!
CAUTION: Don't wear white or anything you don't want stained. When slurping noodles, it is quite possible the soup might splatter all over you so best to wear a bib. Oops... did I just admit that I'm prone to clothing stains? Really, it's not my fault. It's the food that attacks me when I'm not looking!

I know of 3 hand-pulled noodle places in Fremont, of which 2 are QQ and Palace Chef (Yen Ching at Ohlone village is the other one). And given that both are on Thornton Ave., it's hard not to compare the two. Here goes.
NOODLE QUALITY (obviously taste is the most important):
Tie! So QQ's hand pulled noodle is very chewy, while Palace Chef's noodles varies and can sometimes get too tough. However, one of my favorite soup noodles ever is at Palace Chef - seafood noodle soup (chow ma mien)... ah so savory and flavorful... the soup noodle's at QQ are definitely good also. My favorite soup noodle at QQ would be the "pai-gu" (beef bone? pork bone?) soup noodle. It's served in one of those Cantonese-style soup pots and tastes very simple yet yummy. Not as full-flavored as the chow ma mien but it's a different type of good.
AMBIANCE:
QQ noodle takes the lead. Even though it's just a simple noodle shop with no special decor, it's clean and simple layout is comforting to the eye. Palace Chef on the other hand, has the funkiest random-ass posters of Jackie Chan and Korean models. Did I mention that underneath the clear table linings there are pictures of space shuttles taking off???
PRICING:
Tie again I believe. Not sure about QQ, but Palace recently upped their prices a tad. Either choice is still worth what you're paying for though.
SERVICE:
This one is hard. I would say both places are understaffed, because every time I go there is only one server. Now given these limitations, the lady (owner) at QQ noodle is nicer. Then again we were one of 2 customers that night so *shrug*. Nice lady though, found out that she's a single parent putting 3 (I think, I just remember there was a few) kids through college and her daughter who is the same age as me goes to Yale. Not bad for a single parent!
I just understood why my initial rating for this place is still one star higher than my supposedly favorite noodle place, Palace Chef. This place offers a better all-round dining experience. But that seafood noodle soup at Palace is still my favorite XD!#$(!

This place is fucking good. The noodles are hand made and they are long as fuck so they give you scissors to cut them. Supposedly they give white people scissors cuz they dont know how to eat noodles. In my case they gave us scissors because we were sharing noodles and needed to cut them in order to put them in separate bowls.
The noodles don't taste like shit and they are tender and soft, basically they are fuckin fresh to death. Me and my pops ordered the braised beef soup and the pork chow mein, both were fuckin great. The beef was tender and soft like my ex girlfriend's face after I was done hitting her jk, but the beef was very good. The soup base was also very refreshing. The chow mein as bomb as fuck too, good flavor, good pork, good all the fuck around.
The menus look like a children's story book. They have full sized close-up pictures of all their noodle dishes so if you are illiterate just point to the fuckin dish you want and you're set! I will come back here fo sho.
If you're a local of fremont this is located in the shopping plaza where Capital City driving school is, shout out to Collin that fucker that taught me how to drive, holla!

The Cantonese inside me was ecstatic when trying the tomato egg noodle dish. Slightly sweet and chunky tomato sauce with savory egg...yum! The noodle soups are also pretty good, and the noodles are so long your hand gets tired from digging into your bowl.
i've been wanting to try this place for a long long time, but i never found the occasion to drive in that direction.
finally...there came a day when i was hungry, but didn't know what i had an appetite for. I persuaded the bf to come with me, and damnnnn...was this the best idea ever.
This place serves pretty down to earth type stuff. They've got about 10 - 15 different types of appetizers including spicy beef tendon, spicy beef tripe, 1000 year old egg, pig ears...you get the jyst. We ordered 3 appetizers and 2 bowls of noodles all for under 20 bucks. We also had leftovers to take home! The noodles are the best i've had in a long time....thick and chewy. yummmyy! hand pulled noodles are always the best.
i'm already thinking bout the next time imma eat here.
gotta say...this place is one of those hole in the wall type of shops
you wouldn't think by looking at it that the food is actually very tasty. the noodles are hand made and since its small-the service is pretty efficient.
only bad news-the fish they keep in their tank are creepy
QQ is Doo Doo. Nah, just playing. Ok, no I'm not. So I'm not a big soup person, sue me. This place doesn't give you many options. You can have this soup with pork or this other soup with pork or maybe that soup with pork. Pork haters beware! I threw a gang of hot sauce on it and worked it out. Did I hate it? No. Will I go back? Probably not.
If you like pork and soup, handle it! This is allllll you!

QQ Noodle is definitely a small restaurant in a plaza. When you walk in, you basically find your own table and sit down. The menus were on the tables, too. I liked how there were was a picture for each noodle dish in the menu. The pictures sure did make all the dishes look really tasty! After staring at the menu for a while, I decided to order the spicy and sour pork noodle soup.
My noodle soup came out really quick and I was excited to try it.
I loved how fresh the noodles tasted. I had trouble putting the noodles into a smaller bowl, so the waiter gave me a pair of scissors..lol. The noodles are definitely really long, so the scissors came in handy!
If you are in the mood for fresh noodles, I'd recommend QQ Noodle. =)
Ordered the spicy beef noodle soup for dinner w/ a five spice pork stomach appetizer.
Beef Noodle soup was tasty, flavorful and noodles were chewy. The few pieces of beef were relatively tender. Noodles were chewy and delicious!
Service was rushed, typical of Asian restaurants. We were asked for our order at least 4 times and the owner kept on looking at our table during our meal to see when we were done....
3.5 stars in my book...good food needs good service!
Thanks to all the Yelp reviews of QQ. I remember the times before Yelp when I would have to browse through magazines like "What's On" or talk to concierges to try to find a place to eat and how the experience would be like playing Russian Roulette. I can't imagine how I would have found QQ without Yelp.
A co-worker and I went the QQ the other night. The first thing that struck me about QQ over all other Chinese restaurants is their menu. Not only are the items listed in both Chinese and English but the menu is like a kid's picture book - each menu page is laminated in plastic and is a picture of an item on the menu. We had a great time thumbing through this picture book menu. What a great idea especially for people who are not that familiar with noodle dishes. I don't understand why some restaurants only publish their menus in Chinese.
My friend and I ordered a #10 Hot and Spicy Beef Stew Noodle Soup ($6.95), #7 Shredded Pork Chow Mein ($7.25), Beef Tendon with Hot Oil Sauce ($2.99) and Fried Peanuts ($1.99). The Spicy Beef Stew was excellent - the broth rich and tasty and the beef (brisket) cooked until tender (but still a little chewy) with lots of flavor. The noodles, as others have noted, are hand pulled and have a nice chewy texture. Very nice! Definitely amongst the better/best spicy beef noodles I had. My co-worker, who is from N. China, also agreed that it was good. He kept nodding his head in appreciation as he ate. The Shredded Port was also very good - although I was concentrating on the spicy beef. The Beef Tendon was OK - it was thinly sliced tendon with a hot oil sauce poured over it.
We both left completely satisfied.

Holy Bovine! Those are mile long handmade noodles, Batman! Apparently, the noodles are handmade here. Sharing noodles with another person is quite difficult as I have experienced because of the length of these noodles (imagine, I had to use my teeth to make one fell swoop-cut).
Just to make this short and sweet - not only are the handmade noodles a bit of a novelty here, but I think what makes QQ Noodle special is its the #17 item "Long Time Boiled Thick Noodle Soup & Pork". This $8.75 concoction is made of: a) the standard handmade noodles b) 5-6 hefty pieces of quality hearty lean pork c) veggies and d) the amazing boiled all day cloudy broth full of flavor I cannot begin to analyze. The broth is SO good as compared to items #1-14(as I have tried a few of these items already - the broth is neither good nor bad), as it seems that broth was boiled all day. I assume menu items #18 and #19 have amazing broth as well.
Try out #17 for yourself- I don't think you will be disappointed.
So I've been here a few times and I don' tthink I can ever enjoy the pho place that's so conveniently close to my house. I would trek to QQ anytime I have a noodle craving from now on.
Service was ok, no worse than dim sum - servers take care of business, get order, get food, give check - no frills about it.
So far I've tried the House Special (kinda bland, good for the non-adventurous palate), the Sour Mustard and Pork something (#9) which I really like, its got just enough of a 'twang' to it to make it tasty, and the #3 which I can't remember the name of but is a little heavier and saltier for those that love the oyster/soy sauce flavor.
The noodles are seemingly endless in length, luckily each time I've been there a server must have seen us struggling and set a pair of scissors on the table. After a couple of snips, we could eat realistically sized mouthfuls of noodley yumminess without resorting to the face-over-the-bowl-noodle-hanging-out-of-your-mout h steam facial for the entire meal.
I went this last time with someone that just came in from Taiwan 3 days ago and he really liked the place. Its a good sign when the noodle house is full of happily slurping Asians.
