I interned here for a semester.  Tiny little museum but a great place with an amazing staff.  Check it out if you're in the area and have a few extra minutes to spend.  Also a great place to research California history.

Went here for the Yerba Buena Free4All Sat 11/10/07.  I've never heard of it before this event.

It's small.  The exhibits were baseball stuff: "From Empire State to Golden Gate: Alexander Cartwright & the Pacific Coast League", silent film on Babe Ruth, and the 2nd floor Calif. Pioneers.  I liked the square piano upstairs.

Bathrooms available.

Fascinating, infrequently-visited place where you can find nooks and crannies of California's old-school culture. Nice exhibit on the gold mining era now.
