Very very pleased with this store!! Carry items that my other TJ's don't! Being a super short drive from our new place helps too!!!
Staff is super nice and helpful! Always clean with no expired dates (so far...) and selection is great!

I just love trader joe's.

Here's a tip:  in general, the fish is relatively cheap.  It's frozen into packs of 2 or 3 fillets (perfect for those of us who live alone!) and of very good quality.  I get tuna, salmon, mahi mahi...it's all been good!

and i love that they sell sparkling water in glass containers.

and they have an excellent selection of reasonably priced vitamins and supplements.

and to top it all off, they have hard liquor, beer, and wine.  it's amazing. don't be afraid of the 2 buck chuck.  sometimes it is good, and if it is, buy a case, because it may not be good the next time around.

it's all reasonably priced.

amazing.

4 Stars = Yay! I'm a fan.

So, I'll maintain that fan status...
Even though my last visit wasn't very happy in regards to prepared foods.

I got an egg salad sandwich, which according to the date sticker
was good for two more days.
NOT! The bread was extremely dry. It felt soft enough when I did the
slight bread squeeze test with the wrapper on, yet it was not tasty.
The egg salad lacked flavor.

Also got a 4-pack of bran & raspberry Zen Bakery muffins.
Contrary to all my pizza and burger reviews, I actually do eat pretty darn
healthy foods for the most part.
:D

I happily toted the muffins home and had was excited to indulge in
one of them.
One bite of muffin and oh nooooooooo...not tasty.
Darn it.
The handsome man took a bite...nope, he did not care for it either.

I set the muffin on a table and curious kitty, Norm jumped up to
check out the muffin for himself; he whiffs before he bites into foods.

One whiff...
and Normie started trying to cover up the muffin like it was
something in his litter box.

He furiously tried to cover up that muffin and when he'd look at it and
realized the muffin was still there, he looked mad.
He then danced around the plate and more frantically tried covering it up.

My man and I laughed so hard while watching the Normie muffin show
for about five minutes.

I then realized Normie needed a muffin break and I took it away.
He was very relieved!

Some prepared TJ foods are not for our family, yet we're still T.J. fans!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. Here are the reasons.
1) good healthy food
2) excellent prices
3) never crowded
4) Perfect for the single folks (not an overwhelming Safeway/Lucky family type store)

A must have : Mochi Balls (strawberry). It's Japanese ice-cream. I'm a huge fan and another must have : local beer!

I guess I am the only one not impressed by this place. They don't have a wide selection and as soon as I fall in love with a product they stop carrying it. The staff is always friendly and the prices are reasonable.

Friendly staff, clean store, etc., but I wish they wouldn't decide to stop carrying everything I like after only a short amount of time.

I love that I've gotten compliments on my bright red&orange&yellow hair, though :)

Yay!  I found my new favorite TJ's!

They know how to pack your groceries properly (unlike the one in Fremont), and there's plenty of parking (unlike the one in Pleasanton).  Staff are pleasant and helpful.  Store seems small, but it's well-stocked, has wide aisles, and isn't crowded.

I love this Trader Joes! The one in Pleasanton is a traffic nightmare and this one is usually pretty quiet. The staff are nice and the produce is fresh. I adore picking up some fresh salmon or preservative free sausage here. They have an excellent selection of cheeses and wines too. They have a good selection of organic items too! Shopping at Trader Joes I tend to get healthier items and spend less money too. This will be my main grocery store for now on!

I am familiar with the German mother company "Aldi" and when I found out that Trader Joe's was opening in Livermore I was excited.

First off, it is a nice place with very friendly service. The products offered are of a good quality compared to the price paid. A lot of the items are Trader Joe's brand and are much cheaper than their equivalents in other stores. Unfortunately the variety is not too big.

It is exciting around Christmas time though, cause I can just go to a regular store and buy the stuff I am familiar with (Gemran Christmas specialties) instead of order them online and pay the shipping. Stollen, Pfeffernuesse, Lebkuchen and more.

I LOVE TRADER JOES!!!! Staff is helpful and friendly, great selection of produce, nice meat options. Not ever too busy (unlike the Pleasanton store), just wish they had better hours of operation. Also, their premade meals and sandwiches are great; fresh and easy to reheat; portions great for a single person or couple.

I can't really function without trader joe's food, which I know is only slightly pathetic.  I just need the samples and new food items, I need people in hawaiian shirts chatting me up at the register ( but not taking too much time and totally knowing when the transaction is over- so is the conversation) and sending me happily on my way.  I need fresh organic food, a beer and wine section with more selection, not to mention candy can joe joes.

In fact I just made one of their gingerbread houses.

There's more to grocery shopping than buy one get one free and transfat clearance ten for 10$ nonsense.  I'm a happier person when I grocery shop at Tj's and trust me that's good for the world.

I completely agree that the Livermore Trader Joes is much nicer and convenient than the one in Pleasanton.  That parking lot is obscene.  P.S. there's more to Livermore than cowboys- she must be from Pleasanton...

I was so thrilled when Trader Joe's finally made it's way to Livermore so I didn't have to go to that dreaded Pleasanton store anymore. Just like everybody else has already stated...the parking lot is one million times better here!!! There is never ever any problem finding a spot.

The staff here is sooooo nice. I have a pleasant conversation with my checker every time I go.

It's very clean and although it's probably because it's new, I hope it stays that way!

The only problem I have experienced with this store as of yet isn't TJ's fault. It's some of the Liver-morons that shop there at the same time I do. The huge woman that had a beard that shoved her cart into me twice because she thought the store was there for only her??? Could have killed her. And the lady who kept standing right in front of me at the refrigeration section who thought I wouldn't mind just because I was tall? Typical moron.  But they are everywhere so what can you do.

The spacious parking lot makes it reason alone to visit here.  Those crazy soccer moms and their OMG-I-can-totally-fit-in-this-COMPACT-spot (even though I really can't) SUV's can fight in the Pleasanton parking lot.  I'm heading to cowboy town for my groceries.  There's a TON of space and the spots are angled for convenience.  Thank you for doing it right this time.

Besides, it's less crowded and the staff are quite lovely.  (Most employees at all Trader Joe's seem really nice though).  Shopping here is quite a pleasant experience.

Love it.

Darnit! I tried to review this place the day it opened, but Yelp didn't have it listed yet!  Alas ... I guess that makes me "second to review."

I hit the store when it opened, with nearly 100 people standing in line waiting to bombard the place before the doors officially opened.  But everyone was in good spirits ... not the typical shopping madness (though it was a different kind of madness).

This location seems a bit more spacious than the often-over-crowded one in Pleasanton.  The parking lot spaces are roomier, too.  I always worry about my car getting banged up in the P-town lot (though it hasn't, as far as I know).

As with any Trader Joe's, the selection is fun, prices are right and the staff is friendly.

The checkout lines can get pretty long, but I've come to accept it as part of the territory.  Just like anywhere, it also depends on when you go.

I bet the other merchants in this center are thrilled to have TJs set up shop.  It's been a bit neglected until now.

One product I picked up for the first time here was Aloe juice!  I'd never tried it and assumed it would be nasty, but it's not!  It's sweet, but not too sweet.  It does have pulp, though, so beware if that's not your thing.  I recommend trying some.  They've got small bottles, you don't have to get the gallon jug.  Anyway, just a tip.  Save me a bottle though, cuz I'm goin' back for more!

I know I already reviewed the Trader Joe's in Pleasanton, but the other night I stopped by the new store in Livermore on my way home from work.

WOW! I love it. Nice and big, parking is a million times better than Pleasanton. Everything is well merchandised, the sales staff is very attentive and friendly. When I asked a person stocking shelves if he had tried the dried mangosteens (my FAVORITE fruit, that you can't really find fresh outside of SE Asia), he opened a bag and offered me a taste. Pretty cool if you ask me.

Now if I could just get them to open one in San Ramon.

TJ's is my hummus dealer, totally addicted to that tomato and basil baby barf.

Plenty of parking, the store is spacious and full of nice, helpful workers. I guess that's why the shoppers here aren't INSANE like the ones in Pleasanton.

Livermore is on the map!  I got my first Fearless Flyer from Trader Joe's about a month ago and was stoked! I don't know why but even the "junk" food seems healthy at Trader Joe's!

The new store is laid out great with wide aisles and lots of room for long lines. So much better than the one in Fremont which often seemed crowded even without people.  Parking lot works too-lots of room!

We waited to go until today due to the crowds.  So glad to have access to their awesome selection of organics and  different  WINES.
So relieved to have one nearby- no more trips to Pleasanton or Fremont just to complete my grocery shopping!;-)

Went to this new location for the fifth time today.  Love this store!!!  I'm a big Trader Joe's fan, but am sooooooo happy that they finally opened another location in the Pleasanton/Livermore area.  It's so wonderful to be able to find a parking place and actually be able to move around the store with my cart.  Same great TJ prices.

Some of my favorite TJ Products:

fresh mango salsa
whole wheat honey bread - it's so cheap too
home-made flour tortillas (really hand made)
Brown Jasmine rice in the freezer - takes like 3 mins to cook
all their meat is fresh and so much cheaper than like Safeway
maple turkey in deli fridge
peach juice (bottled on juice aisle) - my 9 year old loves this
canned dog food - my new dogs love it

Everything is super fresh and they have great prices.

HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY!!!!

Yay Livermore for letting Trader Joe's move into town!!
What a sight for sore eyes!  I was Jonesin' for Crispy Oatmeal cookies, Chicken with Wild rice lunches and their cornmeal pizza crust that I can add my own topping at home!

The especially awesomest part....It was not crowded!  I can twirl my shopping cart around without hitting anyone or anything in the aisles!  Albiet there were people there but nothing like Ihave expierenced in the city!  But I should enjoy it for now because once Livermore peeps see its goodies I might as well be carrying a handbasket!

Heeeheee!
Overjoyed!

I don't like grocery shopping, but I do like Trader Joe's. Especially this location, since it's bigger and more convenient than the one in Pleasanton. I'm always surprised at the reasonable prices for what is consistently fresh, tasty and pretty healthy. Love it. Plus their staff is way friendlier and more helpful than you'll find at most other chain stores.

Trader Joe's in Livermore is set up and designed very well. There is plenty of parking, and there is no problem finding a space, or trying to leave, the way there is at the Trader Joe's in Pleasanton.  The grocery carts are small, but big enough, which makes them easily maneuverable.

The store is immaculate.  It is kept VERY clean.  The people that work in the store, are helpful and friendly.   There are many healthy selections to be made from the products offered in this store.  The checker's are also friendly and efficient.  For shopping in a grocery store, this is about as pleasant as the experience gets.  If you have not been there yet, you really should try it.

My first review and this is so easy!

For years, I drove by Trader Joe's in Pleasanton, longing for a parking spot so that I could join the fun inside.

Now it's worth the drive to Livermore (even at 4:30!) to find parking and open cashiers at the new Trader Joe's.  Wow!  What a difference it makes in shopping 'tude not spending 15 minutes trying to squeeze into a tiny parking spot!

My recommendations:
*Garlic Fries
*Sir Strawberry Juice
*Any of the nuts
*Carrot cake in the muffin style with icing (too big to even share!)

Thanks TJs for bringing back the fun!
